AmCham support for IBBN

Mr. Valentin Georgiev, AmCham Executive Director, joined us for drinks and an informal discussion on business networks during the last IBBN meeting. He shared with us his experience and highlighted the following key issues:

• the importance of maintaining close relations with the Irish Embassy;
• the importance of Bulgarian-American Credit Bank, as the biggest Irish investor in Bulgaria, in driving forward IBBN activities;
• that the success of the network depends largely on the energy and enthusiasm of its members;
• the IBBN executive committee should look outside the Irish community for additional members;
• the IBBN should provide active support to the development of the Irish-Bulgarian business relationship and be able to participate in high-level business forums as well as lobbying member interests.
